For additional security, Datakey offers the Secure Memory line of tokens, featuring the Unique ID series and the CryptoMemory series. Secure Memory tokens are available with I2C or Atmel 2-wire interfaces and capacities from 1 Kb to 256 Kb.  The tokens feature:

A close-up view of a black security token with a key-like shape, featuring a semi-circular head and eight gold connectors at the bottom.

Datakey offers both board- and panel-mount receptacles.  The board-mount models are available in both surface-mount and through-hole versions.  Additional features include:

A rectangular electronic component with a black housing and orange base. It has a green circuit board with protruding gold pins. The component has two holes on the orange base, likely for mounting.

It is often desired to use a PC to read data from or write data to a memory token.  The SlimLink programmers support the Unique ID Secure Memory token and all of the Serial Memory tokens and connect to a PC via a USB or RS-232 port.  The programmers come with Windows® drivers and a sample application.  The sample application can be used for troubleshooting when integrating a memory token into an embedded design, as it provides a known-good way to communicate with the memory device.  For those who wish to develop their own Windows® applications, we offer a development kit with all of the necessary tools, including the programmer.  There is not currently a programmer available for the CryptoMemory® tokens.

A small, rectangular black electronic device with a matte finish. It has a slot and a circular hole on one side. The design is simple and compact.

The SlimLink development kits include everything needed to develop a Windows® application that can read data from and write data to a Serial Memory token using a SlimLink programmer.  The development kit includes:

CD labeled "Development Kit Software," black plastic box, and several small electronic components including connectors and keys arranged on a white background.
